GB Public School at Melmaruvathur

GB school is a new learning environment where kindergarten, primary, higher secondary blocks, indoor and outdoor join to support the new Finnish curriculum.

The school is designed spaciously with three blocks: admin block, primary block, and secondary block. The primary blocks are mainly designed for kindergarten and primary children, and the secondary blocks are for higher secondary students.
In kindergarten classrooms, different levels are created inside the rooms that help Children sometimes work in small groups, sometimes in large groups for performances or presentations, and sometimes they take time for themselves to immerse themselves in their preferred method of learning or playing.
Classrooms are now being used for a variety of learning zones such as teamwork hubs, reading corners, and gathering areas. For learning shapes and colors, primary and kindergarten windows are designed with the basic geometry shapes that help children learn naturally. In between, the courtyard helps to enrich the open spaces and ventilation, which also allows students to sit and study freely during exam times.
Library designed with levels and courtyards. Courtyards are designed with steps and landscaped. While using the platform system to create the overall publicity for the school, We created different courtyards.
Spaces are designed according to the students' age, and windows denote their classes. In the corridors, filler slabs are used with different warm colors. The walls are well apart to give the children the space for curiosity and direction for movement.
Sunlight cuts through into almost all parts of the building, creating interesting scenes and wonder for children. The aim is to design something simple with different experiences with effective materials like exposed brick, concert, and paint. The school incorporates advanced facilities like smart classroom, multipurpose hall, automated toilet and so on.
